Kantey & Templer has for several years developed its Black Economic Empowerment policy on government’s requirements for a broad-based approach as required by the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act and the Construction Sector Charter and Scorecard. This has enabled us to follow a variety of initiatives in ensuring meaningful achievement.

While attention has been given to ownership by Black people from within our company, their advancement so as to play a meaningful role in the management of the company has also progressed well. This has led to considerable achievements being made in the area of employment equity as well. Nearly 40% of our staff are from Previously Disadvantaged communities.

Human Resources Development and Enterprise Development are two other areas where considerable attention has been given and success has been achieved. In these two elements some of the indicator compliance targets have been exceeded and hence maximum recognition has been achieved.

Kantey & Templer continues to strive to improve its BEE rating in terms of the Built Environment Professionals (BEP) Generic Scorecard, for the benefit of Previously Disadvantaged Individuals as well as the company.
